These attach to the inside of the taillight housing and secure both the taillight and the backup light lens. These are zinc plated steel to prevent rust plus included is a stainless steel fastener to secure them to their housing. Note once the original gasket goes bad over the years, water enters the housing and the old un plated plates rust badly in the dampness as the originals are bare non zinc plated steel from the factory.

Up for sale is a new pair of zinc plated taillight lens retaining plates for a 1955 through 1958 Chevrolet cameo or a GMC suburban carrier. The top and bottom lenses can not be secured properly against the gasket without these hidden plates.
